“Hopefully he gets the support he needs because it’s not going to be an easy job. There’s a bit of work to do with the England team to get them to the level that you all expect. There’s tremendous pressure on the England coach, which Fabio will understand when he’s two minutes into the job. But you need the experienced that he’s got.”

Stuart Pearce is expected to be named as a member of the coaching staff, in what some as viewing as a token gesture. Trevor Brooking is expected to have discusions with Capello to ensure this English presence happens. Unsurprisingly Fabio will bring in his own staff including Italian assistants Franco Baldini and Italo Galbiati, goalkeeping coach Franco Tancredi and fitness coach Massimo Neri.

Capello is known as a strong disciplinarian and generally favours a defensive style of play. He also currently can’t speak English to well either. I don’t think that Capello should have been named as England manager. we should have at least gone with someone who was british, whats wrong with Martin O’Neil?

  2. S. Allen Says:

I think Fabio Capello is very wrong to leave David Beckham out of the squad for the Switzerland match. It is mean and stupid for more reasons than I have time to write about. Steve McClaren made the same mistake and look where he is now. Beckham seems to give the players more confidence.

too much money…and this is terrible…and he is intelligent because he earns a lot of money..come back to Italy…
